Unique to Eastcoast Mushrooms, we include a separate bag of TOP CASING LAYER to enhance your yield, protect your colonised substrate, provide a humid microclimate where mushroom primordia can form and develop and to support the growth of beneficial microorganisms. 
 
All other growing conditions being met, these four benefits add up to optimization of the environment, and hence, setting up the grow to maximize the yield of mushrooms.

We do try to keep it on hand but just in case, please allow up to 48 hours for the production of substrates and grains. 
 
--BEST PRACTICES--
 
We recommend 500g of colonised grain spawn for every 2kg of sterile substrate. (Higher inoculation rates may improve your success).
 
We recommend clean hands and latex gloves when working to reduce the introduction of contaminants.
 
Be sure to mix colonised grain spawn thoroughly into your substrate. 
It is best practice to use around 1 week after arrival before using sterile substrates to ensure they were not compromised during transit. Rest assured that your purchase is 100% guaranteed. If your substrate was compromised, we will replace it. 
 
--STORAGE--
 
When you receive your bag, store at room temperature out of direct sunlight, with normal airflow. Please ensure you have your colonised grain spawn ready to go before you purchase this item, so it is not sitting around for too long - risking contamination.
 
--STERILISATION--
 
Eastcoast Mushrooms use commercial-grade autoclaves. Sterility is verified using biological indicators and temperature sensors.
Work is performed in front of a massive commercial 99.9% laminar flow hood.
