We are currently experiencing a high number of orders. Please allow 10 working days for dispatch (I make everything FRESH for you).
 
One 500 bag of pre-sterilised whole Red Sorghum, also known as Red Milo. Perfectly hydrated and sterilised.  These bags colonise FAST, great for starting grain spawn using your chosen spore syringe/liquid culture or agar wedge.
 
Soaked for 24hrs & pressure sterilised at 15 PSI for 2 hours to ensure sterility.

We do try to keep a good amount of stock on hand but just in case, please allow up to 48 hours for the production of substrates and grains.

● 1 x Unicorn Bag with:
● 0.2µ Filter (keep the air going inside the bag extra clean)
● Self Healing Injection Port (making inoculation easy and sterile)
● 2 x Isopropyl Wipes
● 1 x Pair of Black Nitrile Gloves
 
--BEST PRACTICES--
Clean the whole bag and entire working area with 70% isopropyl alcohol.

Place the clean bag on the side so the injection port faces upwards for easier inoculation.


 
Flame sterilise the needle and wait a few seconds until it cools off.


 
Push the needle through the injection port and inoculate 5-12cc of Liquid Culture solution / Spore solution, Inoculate the solution to the grain part of the bag.

 Use a slight up-down motion with the needle to spread the spore solution around.
 
Hold the injection port with 2 fingers and slowly pull out the needle.


 
Store inoculated bags at room temperature. 
 
Best results are achieved when inoculating inside a Still Air Box or in front of a Flow Hood.
 
Use a ration of 1:3 colonised grains with your substrate when you layout your tub or add to bags. 
 
--STORAGE--
Our bags can be stored for more than a month in proper condition (Cold and dry place), however, we recommend using them in the first 2 weeks after delivery.

 
--STERILISATION--
Eastcoast Mushrooms use commercial-grade autoclaves. Sterility is verified using biological indicators and temperature sensors.
 
Work is performed in front of a massive commercial 99.9% laminar flow hood.

Products do not contain spores or live cultures. You will need to source spores of your choosing (Isolated LC Liquid Culture). Products shall be used only for lawful purposes. Please refer to our Etsy Shop Policies and FAQ on our main Etsy Store Page.
